With the arrival of Settle you can also use your crypto portfolio as a payment account. Anyone with an account at Knaken can use it. You can send payment requests, but also, for example, pay in your favorite webshop or store. Simply with the Knaken app.

How do you send a payment request?

To send someone a payment request, you need the Knaken app. You must have a verified account. Haven't you done this yet? Read here how to verify your account.

• Step 1 - Open the Knaken app.
• Step 2 - Press the big button at the bottom to create a new Settle.
• Step 3 - Select New Settle and then enter the amount with a description of your choice.
• Step 4 - Now send the payment request to the people you want to settle with.

A payment request looks like this:

If you want to pay a payment request, you will be redirected to the Knaken app and you can select which wallet you want to pay with, as shown in the image below. So you can pay with a crypto of your choice!

You can also pay for a payment request in another way, as shown in the screen above on the right. You must then create an account with Knaken to be able to select one of those options. Going through the verification procedure and depositing an amount is then not necessary.

A payment request remains valid for 7 days.

How do you pay with Settle at a webshop?

More and more companies and services offer you the option to pay with Settle. At checkout, simply select the Settle option. If you do this on your phone, you will be directly linked to the payment screen in the Knaken app.

When paying on your laptop, for example, you will see a login screen with QR code. You can then choose to log in or scan the QR code with your phone. Your phone will then open the payment screen in the Knaken app.
