With the arrival of Settle, you can now use your crypto portfolio as a payment account. Anyone with an account at Knaken can use it. You can send payment requests as well as pay in your favorite webshop or store. Just use the Knaken app.
How do you send a payment request?
To send someone a payment request, you need the Knaken app. You must have a verified account. If you haven’t done this yet, read here how to verify your account.
Step 1 – Open the Knaken app.
Step 2 – Press the large button in the center at the bottom to create a new Settle.
Step 3 – Select new Settle and then enter the amount along with a description of your choice.
Step 4 – Now send the payment request to the people you want to settle with.
A payment request looks something like this:
If you want to pay a payment request, you will be redirected to the Knaken app, where you can select which wallet you want to use for payment, as shown in the image below. So you can pay with your crypto of choice!
You can also pay a payment request in another way, as shown in the screen on the top right. You will need to create an account with Knaken to select any of those options. There is no need to go through the verification process or deposit an amount.
A payment request remains valid for 7 days.
How do you pay with Settle at a webshop?
More and more businesses and services offer you the option to pay with Settle. At checkout, you simply select the Settle option. If you do this on your phone, you will be redirected directly to the payment screen in the Knaken app.
When checking out on, for example, your laptop, you will see a login screen with a QR code. You can then choose to log in or scan the QR code with your phone. Your phone will then open the payment screen in the Knaken app.
