Sui

What is Sui?

Sui is a blockchain platform designed to provide a safe and efficient way to store and share data between different parties. The blockchain is also specifically designed to be highly scalable, allowing it to process large amounts of transactions without compromising the speed or security of the network.The blockchain is of the same generation as Aptos and the project was also born out of a group of people who previously worked on Facebook's Diem (formerly Libra) project. While there is some overlap between the features of Aptos and Sui, they differ in their focus and applications. For example, Aptos focuses on facilitating payments and financial services, while Sui focuses on storing and sharing data between different parties.

Sui & Aptos

Sui uses Move as its programming language. This programming language was developed by Facebook for the Libra blockchain platform and is based on the popular Rust programming language. The goal of Move was originally to provide a safe and flexible way to create and execute smart contracts on the Libra (later Diem) network. Now, Move is used for popular blockchain networks like Aptos and Sui.
