We are proud to announce that Knaken now supports WalletConnect, which means that wallet verification is now faster and easier than ever before. WalletConnect is an open protocol for connecting desktop DApps with mobile wallets through scanning QR codes or deep linking. This provides a seamless and secure experience for our users.
How does it work?
The process of wallet verification has now been simplified into a few easy steps:
Connect your wallet: Open your wallet app that supports WalletConnect and scan the QR code displayed on the Knaken platform.
Confirm ownership: Confirm in your wallet app that you are the owner of the wallet. You do this by simply accepting the connection and optionally signing it.
Wallet is verified: Once you have completed these steps, your wallet is immediately verified on the Knaken platform.

With this integration, users of these wallets no longer need to upload screenshots to verify their wallet. This saves time and makes the process much simpler and more user-friendly.
Wallets/Blockchains without WalletConnect support
For users who use wallets or blockchains that do not support WalletConnect, the verification procedure will unfortunately continue to occur through screenshot uploading. We are working hard to provide more wallet integrations and make the verification process as smooth as possible for all users.
Availability on the portal and mobile app
Currently, this new wallet verification method is only available through our portal. However, we are working hard to make this functionality available on our mobile app as soon as possible. Keep an eye on our updates for more information.
Further possibilities with WalletConnect
In addition to the current verification feature, we at Knaken are working on integrating WalletConnect for deposits. This would make it even easier for users to deposit money by initiating and confirming transactions directly from their wallet app.
Additionally, we are currently exploring integration with Settle, a platform that enables automated transactions and payments. This integration would allow us to offer even more advanced financial services, enabling users to carry out transactions more efficiently and securely.
Verifying multiple wallets and addresses
At this moment, it is possible to link one wallet at a time to your Knaken account. However, you can verify multiple addresses by connecting and verifying these wallets one at a time. This provides flexibility for users with multiple wallets and addresses, without compromising usability.
