We are excited to announce that Knaken now supports WalletConnect, making wallet verification faster and easier than ever before. WalletConnect is an open protocol for connecting desktop DApps to mobile wallets using QR code scanning or deep linking, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for our users.

How It Works

The wallet verification process is now simplified into a few easy steps:

1. Connect Your Wallet: Open your WalletConnect-supported wallet app and scan the QR code displayed on the Knaken platform.
2. Confirm Ownership: In your wallet app, confirm that you are the owner of the wallet by accepting the connection and potentially signing a message.
3. Wallet Verified: Once these steps are completed, your wallet is instantly verified on the Knaken platform.

Supported Wallets

WalletConnect is supported by a wide range of wallets, including:

• Trust Wallet
• Rainbow
• Argent
• Crypto.com
• Pillar
• imToken
• TokenPocket
• MathWallet
• SafePal
• Coinomi

With this integration, users of these wallets no longer need to upload screenshots to verify their wallets. This saves time and makes the process much simpler and more user-friendly.

Wallets/Blockchains Without WalletConnect Support

For users who use wallets or blockchains that do not support WalletConnect, the verification process unfortunately still requires uploading screenshots. We are working hard to provide more wallet integrations and to make the verification process as smooth as possible for all users.

Availability on Portal and Mobile App

Currently, this new wallet verification method is only available through our portal. However, we are working diligently to bring this functionality to our mobile app as soon as possible. Stay tuned for updates.

Future Capabilities with WalletConnect

In addition to the current verification feature, we at Knaken are working on integrating WalletConnect for deposits. This would make it even easier for users to initiate and confirm transactions directly from their wallet app.

Furthermore, we are exploring integration with Settle, a platform that enables automated transactions and payments. This integration would allow us to offer more advanced financial services, enabling users to perform transactions more efficiently and securely.

Verifying Multiple Wallets and Addresses

At the moment, it is possible to connect one wallet at a time to your Knaken account. However, you can verify multiple addresses by connecting and verifying each wallet one by one. This offers flexibility for users with multiple wallets and addresses without compromising ease of use.
